Non-Player Characters: Act V
Anya
She is the daughter of one of the Barbarian clans' past elders (Aust), who was slain by the Lord of Destruction (Baal) along his path towards the World Stone. Anya is a vendor who will sell you equipment but also provide the lovely gambling feature we all cherish.

Location: Harrogath
Merchant: Yes

Deckard Cain
The last of the Horadric Mages will continue with you to Act V, remaining as a guidance figure. Cain doesn't provide you with any quests in this Act, but he will certainly supply you with important information regarding the quests given to you by other NPCs. Of course, his free indentification of items service will continue.

Merchant: No

Larzuk
He is an enormous Barbarian of Qual-Kehk's clan, a merchant who will provide you with armor and weapons exclusively. Larzuk will also be the only NPC of Act V who will repair your items, though he does not bring along the gambling feature. According to Blizzard North's description, this non-player character is a bit on the younger side, though his wares will still be the highest quality you can purchase (besides from gambling).

Merchant: Yes

Malah
Malah was the fourth announced NPC from the Diablo II Expansion Set, and we received her information on December 6, 2000. She is the healer non-player character of Act V, the one who will restore you to full hit points and mana. She is similar to Akara from Act I, selling potions and the more "caster" sort of equipment. See her also for scrolls of town portal and scrolls of identify.

Location: Harrogath
Merchant: Yes

Nihlathak
He is the last clan elder of the Barbarian group, who has been driven near insanity because of guilt that he could not successfully protect the World Stone from evil. Nihlathak sounds like an interesting character, though a bit on the nutty side. From the guilt of having not sacrificed himself, he turns to evil and contributes to Baal's success by imprisoning Anya and giving the Lord of Destruction a precious artifact.

Location: Harrogath
Merchant: Yes: Gamble only

Qual-Kehk
Qual-Kehk is the greatly respected commander/warlord of the Barbarian clan, a diminishing group located in the Barbarian Highlands. Completing the first quest of Act V allows you to gain his trust, reminding us of Akara and the first quest of Act I. After you have done this, he will give you the second quest, which will require you to rescue a few Barbarians from the minions of Baal. Qual-Kehk shares another similarity with an NPC of Act I, this being Kashya, since he will offer hired mercenaries for purchase if you successfully complete the second quest.

Tyrael

This famous Archangel returns in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. However, he is not seen until the very end of the add-on, after you have defeated Baal. He is, as many had hoped, part of the final cinematic at the end of Act V, as well.

Location: Worldstone Chamber
Merchant: No
